Areas of Use:

Mepitel Film is intended to protect fragile and sensitive skin and minimize risk of skin breakdown. It can be used as secondary dressing, fixating e.g. gauze or nonwoven swabs or as a landing zone for aggressive tapes to secure devices to skin. It can be used as a protective dressing over IV sites when the IV device is secured through adhesive tape or sutures.

Product Description:

Mepilex Lite is a highly conformable dressing that absorbs exudates, maintains a moist wound environment and minimises the risk for maceration. The dressing has a Safetac® wound contact layer that is a unique adhesive technology. It minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin at dressing removal.

Mepilex Lite consists of:

• A soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac)
• A thin, flexible absorbent pad of polyurethane foam
• An outer polyurethane film which is breathable but waterproof

Areas of Use:

Mepilex Lite is designed for the management of a wide range of non to low exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, partial thickness burns, radiation skin reactions and Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mepilex Lite can also be used as a protection of compromised and/or fragile skin.

Introducing the ALLEVYN ADHESIVE Triple Layer Wound Dressing, designed to provide effective exudate management and support a moist wound healing environment. This versatile dressing is suitable for a variety of wound types, including shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute exudative wounds, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, donor sites, and fungating ulcers.

Key Features:

1. Secure Adhesion: The dressing securely adheres to peri-wound tissue, keeping it in place without sticking to the wound itself.
2. Promotes Healing: By maintaining a moist wound environment, the ALLEVYN ADHESIVE dressing helps promote the healing process.
3. Conformable and Comfortable: This dressing is designed to be conformable and comfortable for the patient, with an absorption capacity that lasts up to 7 days.
4. Protective Top Film: The top film of the dressing aids in preventing fluid and bacterial penetration when the dressing remains intact.

Application Instructions:

1. Select the appropriate dressing and prepare the skin surrounding the wound area.
2. Remove one of the protector films from the ALLEVYN ADHESIVE and anchor the adhesive side onto the skin.
3. Remove the remaining protector film and smooth the dressing over the remainder of the wound without stretching, ensuring there are no creases. The pad area of the dressing must be adhered across the entire surface of the wound.

Removal Instructions:

To remove the ALLEVYN ADHESIVE dressing, lift one edge of the dressing and slowly peel back until completely removed from the wound. For sacral dressings, it is recommended to remove them from the top edge and down towards the anus to minimize the potential for faecal contamination.
