When skin needs protecting from incontinence, body fluids, sticky dressings or friction, this no-sting barrier spray forms a clear protective film in a single coat. Secura No-Sting Barrier Film is alcohol-free, so it's comfortable on intact or damaged skin. It dries in under 30 seconds, and the film protects for up to 96 hours (4 days).

What it's for and who it suits

Incontinence care: It helps protect skin from urinary and faecal incontinence.

Around tubes, catheters and stomas: It forms a protective layer between the skin and adhesive dressings, drainage tubes, external catheters and ostomy sites.

Friction: It helps protect areas at risk of friction damage, and it stays flexible on elbows, knees and heels.

Adults, children and infants: It's suitable for adults, children and full-term infants from one month old.

Not suitable for: Open wounds, deep puncture wounds or infected skin, or anyone allergic to its ingredients. If you're unsure, ask a wound nurse, continence nurse or GP.

How to use Secura No-Sting Barrier Film Spray

1. Clean the area and make sure it's completely dry.
2. Shake the bottle well.
3. Spray a thin, even layer over the area. One coat is enough.
4. Let the film dry completely, which takes under 30 seconds, before covering it with clothing, a dressing or a continence product.

Precautions and good to know

For external use only.

Highly flammable: Keep the spray away from heat, sparks and open flames, and let the film dry fully.

Keep it out of the eyes: If it gets into an eye, flush it with water.

If redness or irritation appears: Stop using it, and check with your GP, pharmacist or nurse.

Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight.
