Mepitac silicone tape
Having sensitive skin this tape is a life saver especially when needed long term. It was recommended to me by my wound specialist nurse and I highly recommend it.
Product Description:
Mepitac is a conformable adhesive tape which is easy to apply and remove. The product is suitable for patients requiring repeated application and removal as it offers gentle removal from skin and bodily hair and provides secure fixation, yet leaves minimal residues on removal. If inspection or repositioning is necessary, Mepitac can be lifted and re-applied. Mepitac is also water resistant.
Mepitac consists of:
- A Safetac® contact layer
- A conformable knitted fabric
- A breathable and waterproof polyurethane film
Areas of Use:
Mepitac is intended for fixation of medical devices such as drains, tubes, probes, electrodes, IV cannula, and dressings. Mepitac offers gentle skin protection when used under devices such as tubes.
