Halyard FluidShield 3 N95 Duckbill Respirator, Small (46827)
The Halyard FluidShield 3 is a duckbill-style N95 particulate filter respirator and surgical mask, built for clinical environments where both respiratory filtration and fluid resistance are needed. This is the small size, cut for narrower facial profiles where the regular size will not hold a reliable seal.
This listing is the small size, product code 46827, supplied in boxes of 35 masks or cartons of 6 boxes. ARTG 127052.
Key features
- Meets AS/NZS 1716:2012 and US NIOSH N95 standards: the Australian P2 respirator standard and the US N95 standard, confirmed by Halyard.
- Included on the ARTG: registration number 127052.
- Small profile: shaped for smaller faces, where a regular respirator tends to gap at the cheeks or chin.
- PFE and BFE of 99% or greater: sub-micron particulate filtration and bacterial filtration.
- Splash resistance to 160 mmHg: ASTM F2100-11 Level 3, and EN 14683 Type IIR.
- Low breathing resistance: under 5.5 mm H2O/cm² on the small size.
- Large duckbill breathing chamber: more internal air space than a flat-fold or cup respirator.
- Malleable aluminium nose piece: shapes to the bridge of the nose for an individual fit, which also reduces fogging for staff who wear glasses.
- Five-year shelf life and folds flat, so it suits pandemic stockpiling and bulk storage.
- No natural rubber latex and no DEHP.
Construction and materials
- Outer layer: spunbond polypropylene, in the distinctive FluidShield orange.
- Middle layer: spunbond polypropylene.
- Third layer: respirator filter media, polypropylene.
- Inner layer: PET polyester bicomponent in white, the SO SOFT lining against the skin.
- Elastic bands: polyurethane, bonded rather than stapled.
- Nose piece: aluminium.

Storage
Store in a dry, cool place away from direct heat. Keep masks in their dispenser box and dispenser boxes in the shipping carton wherever practical.
Fit testing
A respirator only performs to its rating if it seals to the wearer's face, so every wearer should be fit tested before relying on it. This small size exists because a regular respirator will not seal on every face. If you are fitting out a team, talk to us about trialling both sizes, and a few shapes, across your staff before committing to a bulk order.
